Description

AXPURE Sediment filter usually acts as the first stage of water purification. Being the first line of defence, its core function is to remove the physical impurities or particulate matter from water.

AXPURE Sediment filters and separators are for pre-filtering water to remove sand and large sediment from a water supply. They are best installed where the water enters your house, also known as Point of Entry (POE). Generally this kind of filter is installed before any other whole house filters or appliances.

In most cases, however, AXPURE sediment filters are effective enough to reduce unwanted particles to safe levels for drinking water. A sediment filter can be used to provide clean, drinkable water.

Does sediment filter reduce TDS?

No. AXPURE Sediment filters can’t remove or reduce TDS levels in water. The function of the sediment filter is to eliminate various suspended particles like dirt, sand, and rust

AXPURE Sediment is the loose sand, clay, silt and other. Soil particles that settle at the bottom of a body of water. Sediment can come from soil erosion or from the decomposition of plants and animals. Wind, water and ice help carry these particles to rivers, lakes and streams.

What is an example of sedimentation filtration?

Tea leaves falling to the bottom in a tea cup, and mud settling to the bottom of a pond, are examples of sedimentation in action. This process can be sped up by spinning in a centrifuge, in the case of tea leaves, by swinging “the billy” around in a circle a few times.

What is called sedimentation?

The process of settling down of heavier insoluble particles at the bottom of a liquid is called sedimentation. The heavier insoluble particles that settle down at the bottom of the liquid are called sediments.

Your water may still contain trace pathogen elements, heavy metallics, and volatile organic compounds. In most cases, however, sediment filters are effective enough to reduce unwanted particles to safe levels for drinking water. AXPURE sediment filter can be used to provide clean, drinkable water.
